Two Non-Locals Shot At, Injured By Suspected Militants In South Kashmir's Pulwama: Police
Immediately after the incident, the duo, one of them a driver and another the conductor of a poultry vehicle, was shifted to the sub-district hospital.
New Delhi: Two non-locals have been shot at and injured by suspected militants in Litter area in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday, police said.
According to a police official, the gunmen attacked the duo, both residents of Pathankot on Sunday evening.
As per a PTI report, at about 7.15pm, terrorists fired upon two non-locals, both residents of Pathankot, Punjab at Nowpora in Litter area of Pulwama.

One of the injured has been identified as Surinder and another one as Dheraj Dutta.

When contacted, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Pulwama, Dr BS Tullah said that Surinder has sustained bullet injury on the left side of his chest and has been referred to Srinagar’s SMHS hospital for advanced treatment. Another Dheraj Dutta has been injured in the leg and is currently undergoing treatment.

According to news agency ANI, a case has been registered against the suspected militants for shooting at the two people. The area has been cordoned off and search to nab the accused is underway, police said.
