Twitter User Asks Delhi Police If Cricket Is Allowed In Curfew – The Reply Will Leave You In Splits

To combat the COVID-19 spike, the DDMA had already planned to implement a curfew in Delhi on Saturdays and Sundays.

New Delhi: Amid the rise in the COVID cases in Delhi and its surrounding areas, the Delhi government had implemented a weekend curfew on Saturday.

A man was concerned about his weekend plans to play cricket with buddies a few days before the curfew. Punit Sharma, a Building Services Consultant, asked Delhi Police in a tweet whether he may play cricket during the weekend curfew while following COVID rules like wearing face masks and social separation.

“Can we play cricket with social distancing and mask…” he asked Delhi Police on Twitter.

In response, Delhi Police on his official Twitter handle writes, “That’s a ‘Silly Point’, Sir. It is time to take ‘Extra Cover’. Also, #DelhiPolice is good at ‘Catching’,” Delhi Police tweeted. People violating curfew rules can be arrested and Delhi Police referencing this said they are “good at catching”.

To combat the COVID-19 spike, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) had already planned to implement a curfew in Delhi on Saturdays and Sundays. Except for those who provide critical services, all government employees will work from home. In private offices, 50% of the workers will work from home.
