DMK's A Raja Tenders Apology For Disparaging Remarks Against CM Palaniswami & His Mother
The DMK leader’s apology came a day after Palaniswami condemned the former’s remarks and said whoever made disparaging remarks against a mother, who is accorded a very high position in the society, would be punished for sure by God.
Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader A. Raja, who stirred controversy earlier with his “premature birth” jibe directed at Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edapaddi K. Palaniswami, on Monday apologized for his remarks stating “it was taken out of context”.
“In Cuddalore yesterday, I explained that I didn’t speak ill about EPS (K Palaniswami) or his mother. I did so as I’m the eighth child of my mother. After this I came to know through media that the Chief Minister was hurt by my speech, I felt extremely hurt. I apologize from the bottom of my heart for the speech which was taken out of context,” he told the media in Tamil Nadu’s Nilgiris district.
