New Delhi: Tourists have once again caught the ire of twitterati for being insensitive towards nature and showcasing their irresponsible behaviour. It is not the first time that tourists have put natural habitat at risk under the pretext of enjoying a holiday.
A video from Ladakh has gone viral that shows a group of tourists driving their car through the pristine Pangong Lake in Ladakh. The video has agitated social media users who have called for strict actions against the perpetrators.

A Twitter user named Jigmat Ladakhi shared a video of few men in an Audi driving through Pangong Lake. A foldable table and chair can be seen placed right in the lake with bottles of alcohol on it. The purported video seems to have been captured in Ladakh but the exact date of this incident cannot be determined.
"I am sharing again another shameful video. Such irresponsible tourists are killing Ladakh . Do you know? Ladakh has more than 350 bird species and lakes like Pangong are the home of many bird species. Such an act may have risked the habitat of many bird species (sic),” the video caption reads.</p

The behaviour of the tourists have been heavily criticised in Ladakh. “Environment is no one's property to destroy it's everyone's responsibility to protect (sic),” another user wrote.

Some users have urged the minister to intervene and demanded punishment. “Hon. Minister, this shameful behaviour by so-called tourists should not go unpunished. Or else, it will spoil the natural beauty of the destination (sic),” a user wrote.

Most of the tourism revenue comes from visitors from HR,Del as they visit HP,UK,Ladakh.Yes we should respect nature,but all plots,land masses,infrastructure have been built after capturing land from wildlife,flora-fauna has been destroyed.All constructions in UK are on river beds
