Sourav Ganguly’s ‘New Journey’ Tweet Was About Launch Of Education App. See Details

Sourav, on Wednesday evening, confirmed with ABP Live Bengali that he has planned to launch a tutorial app very soon, rejecting speculations about him stepping down as president of the BCCI.

Kolkata: People have seen the humanitarian side of Sourav Ganguly during the Covid-19 pandemic and Amphan cyclone, when he arranged free vaccination and food for the needy people. The former Indian skipper has now taken an initiative for the betterment of the educational system.

Sourav, on Wednesday evening, confirmed with ABP Live Bengali that he has planned to launch a tutorial app very soon. “We have planned to launch a tutorial app. It will be a worldwide app. The official announcement will be made soon,” he said.

It has been learnt from sources close to Ganguly that the app will be multilingual. Students can get the opportunity to learn in English along with other regional languages.

On Wednesday afternoon, rumours had spread that Sourav Ganguly has resigned from the post of BCCI president as the former Team India captain wrote on social media that after his 30 years of journey in cricket, he is to do something new and that too for the sake of people. Speculation was that Sourav may join politics, a notion which has come into limelight again and again over the last few months.

The speculation was, however, turned down by Sourav’s office later in the day. Taniya Bhattacharya, personal assistant of Sourav Ganguly, told ABP Live, “There was speculation that he is quitting the BCCI president post. But he is not quitting anything. And he is not joining politics. It’s part of a promotion.”
