According to an NDTV report, Nihangs the 'warrior' Sikh group are being blamed for the brutal and sickening murder, which took place in Kundli in Haryana's Sonipat district. There are reports that the man was about 35 years old.

Reports say the Nihangs beat the young man to death for allegedly desecrating the Guru Granth Sahib, the Sikhs' holy book. However, the police say that it is too early to say anything for sure.

A video has surfaced in which many Nihangs along with other protestors standing surrounding the mutilated body which is still hanging by a police barricade.
