Sonia Gandhi down with fever, admitted to Gangaram hospital

New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi was on Tuesday admitted to a hospital here after she developed fever. She was admitted to Gangaram Hospital this morning. Gandhi was admitted to the hospital in August too for a pre-scheduled check-up for a shoulder injury. Congress media in charge Randeep Singh Surjewala told ANI on Tuesday, " Congress president Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to a hospital on account of viral fever." He further said, "Gandhi would be admitted for two days after which she would return her duty in Parliament." D.S. Rana, Chairman of the Board of Management at SGRH told IANS: "Sonia Gandhi was admitted at the hospital on Monday evening under the care of Arun Kumar Basu, a senior consultant in the Department of Chest and Pulmonology Medicine, and his team of consultants. "Gandhi's routine tests are being conducted and she is better today (Tuesday). She is likely to be discharged in a day or two," Rana said.
