It is being reported that the new channel aims to showcase high-quality content related to India's institutions and democratic values targeting national and international audiences. When the Parliament session begins, Sansad TV will have two channels to broadcast the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha.

According to the reports, Karan Singh will host a show on various religions, Bibek Debroy on history and Amitabh Kant on 'Transformation of India'. SAARCLAW Vice President Batra will host a show on legal matters. Retired IAS officer and former Textiles Ministry Secretary Ravi Kapoor is the CEO of the channel while Joint Secretary in lok sabha secretariat Manoj Arora is OSD.

Notably, the merger was reported in June last year and it was officially announced by the Rajya Sabha Secretariat office in March. In November last year, Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla formed a panel to merge the two channels. Both the channels have been merged on the recommendation of the same panel.
