Delhi: Building Collapse In Sabzi Mandi Area Claims Lives Of 2 Children, More Feared Under Debris - Know Details
An old person and two children died due to the building collapsed in Delhi's sabzi mandi area. Many more people are feared to be trapped under debris.
New Delhi: A building collapsed in the sabzi mandi area of North Delhi's Malka Ganj at 11:50 am on Monday causing a lot of panic. After this incident, the locals started evacuating the elderly in the building and alleged that there was negligence on the part of the administration.

The JCB machine, which plays an important role in removing debris, arrived about one and a half hours late. Two children and a man sitting at a paan shop were taken to Hindu Rao Hospital but both children could not be saved. The deceased children were brothers and are said to be 12 years and 7 years old. Both were pulled out of the debris and taken to the hospital where doctors declared them dead.
At least three to four people are still feared to be under the debris.
Two children were going home with their mother after tuition when the building collapsed in Malkaganj, Delhi. Due to the sudden collapse of the building, parents Ayushi Gupta and Nitin Gupta lost their sons. Eldest son Samya was 12 years old while younger son Priyanshu was 7 years old.
It was reported that the mother was calling out for her children in an unconscious state. She is talking to the family about meeting them but the family has not yet told her about the death of the children to prevent shock.
