Ukraine Crisis: India Issues Fresh Advisory For Citizens, Shares New Contact Details For Assistance

Embassy of India continues to function and can be contacted through email: cons1.kyiv@mea.gov.in and the following 24*7 helpline numbers on WhatsApp for assistance, stated the advisory.

New Delhi: The Indian Embassy in Ukraine has issued a fresh advisory for Indian nationals stuck Ukraine. The Embassy has issued an email address and WhatsApp helpline numbers for assitance to the Indians in Ukraine. 

The advisroy issued stated that the Embassy of India continues to function and can be contacted through email: cons1.kyiv@mea.gov.in and the following 24*7 helpline numbers on WhatsApp for assistance:

Tensions between Russia and Ukraine does not seem to abate since Russia's invasion on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin, on Friday, told German Chancellor Olaf Scholz during a telephonic conversation that Kyiv was attempting to stall peace talks with Moscow. 

“It was noted that the Kyiv regime is attempting in every possible way to delay the negotiation process, putting forward more and more unrealistic proposals,” the Kremlin said in a readout of the call, Reuters reported.

Meanwhile, India's ambassador to the United Nations, TS Tirumurti, said that India is ready to engage in diplomatic talks to end the conflict in Russia-Ukraine, at an emergency meeting at the UN. The UN has raised "grave fears" for millions of people.

"We stand ready to continue to engage on these objectives in the Security Council, as well as with the parties (to the conflict), in the coming days," Tirumurti said as quoted by PTI.
