RSS, Government agencies created stone pelters in Jammu and Kashmir: NC MLA Javed Rana

Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta criticized his remarks and accused him of stoking fire in the state.

NEW DELHI: The National Conference (NC) MLA Javed Rana on Thursday said that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and certain government agencies are responsible for the current unrest in the Kashmir valley. While addressing a media a day after stone pelters attacked a school bus in Kashmir's Shopian, Rana said "Stone pelters and disturbance in the region (Jammu and Kashmir) are a creation of RSS and some of the country's agencies". He said "Our own agencies are responsible for the disturbed environment in the state, they have created terrorists". He further added, “I would like to tell Prime Minister that some of the country's agencies have had a hand in giving rise to militancy and disturbing law and order in Jammu and Kashmir". His remarks were criticized many political parties where Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta lashed out at the National Conference MLA and accused him of stoking fire in the state. J-K Congress chief spokesperson also criticized his statement and said "We strongly condemn his irresponsible remarks. He is trying to give a clean chit to Pakistan and separatists.
