RSS-Affiliate Bharatiya Kisan Sangh To Hold Nationwide Dharna On Sept 8, Know Its Demand

The Bharatiya Kisan Sangh national treasurer added that there has been no positive indication from the government in this regard.

Ballia: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) affiliate farmers’ body Bharatiya Kisan Sangh has announced to hold a nationwide dharna on September 8 to protest against the Centre’s lack of assurance despite an ultimatum on considering the demands regarding three new farm laws and the minimum support price (MSP) by August 31.

Bharatiya Kisan Sangh national treasurer Yugal Kishore Mishra said that an ultimatum was given to the Centre to take a decision by August 31 regarding a remunerative price for the produce to be given to the farmers.

The Bharatiya Kisan Sangh national treasurer added that there has been no positive indication from the government in this regard.

Mishra, who was talking to the media after an important virtual meeting of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh’s central executive and provincial representatives in Nagara town of Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia district on Wednesday night, said it has been decided to hold a symbolic dharna in every district headquarters in the country in view of the Centre’s indifferent stand.

He said it has been decided in the meeting that the union officials will hold press conferences in every state capital and every district headquarters before the event to apprise the country of the farmers’ issue.

The Bharatiya Kisan Sangh national treasurer further said national general secretary Badri Narayan Chaudhary will announce further steps after the symbolic dharna on September 8.
