Farmers' Protest: In order to prevent any further law and order situation in the National Capital and its borders, Delhi Police has taken strict measures. Border area at Ghazipur now has multilayered barricading and concertina wire fencing in order to prevent someone to forcibly enter Delhi.

Farmers are docking at various borders of Delhi-NCR protesting the three newly introduced Agriculture Law by the centre. The protest, which has been going on for over two months now, majorly remained peaceful but on 26 January the Farmers' Tractor Rally, a counter-rally to the Republic Day parade, took an ugly turn as violence ensued in the heart of the national capital.

Looking at the fortification efforts at Delhi border, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has taken a 'barbed-dig' at the opposition. Given that Black History Month started on February 1, Rahul Gandhi quoted Martin Luther King Jr to attack the opposition. Addressing his tweet towards Government of India, he wrote: "build bridges, not walls".

While the violence has been condemned by major political parties, demand to repeal the agriculture laws has not faded away.

Farmers' protest, against the new Agriculture Laws at the borders of Delhi and NCR has seen plenty of curves in terms of the kind of headlines it has generated.

Allegedly, the farmers or participants of the Tractor Rally strayed from the original assigned course by Delhi Police. As protestors entered New Delhi breaking barricades, Delhi Police resorted to force and farmers cum participants of the tractor rally were baton-charged. In the scene of events, the alleged protestors also breached the Red Fort and a flag was hoisted near the ramparts.
