PMO reveals how much was 'spent' on PM Modi's fitness video

PM was seen wearing a black coloured pants and a black T-shirt. The video came after Indian Cricket team captain Virat Kohli challenged PM Modi, in the then trending fitness challenge.

New Delhi: The Prime Minister office has revealed how much was spent on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s fitness video, which was released in June. The revelation came in an RTI response, where the government has claimed “No money was spent in making the video”. A week ahead of Yoga Day on June 13, PM Modi took to his Twitter and shared a fitness video, where he could be seen performing Yoga on a huge rock, barefoot. PM was seen wearing a black coloured pants and a black T-shirt. The video came after Indian Cricket team captain Virat Kohli challenged PM Modi, in the then trending fitness challenge. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor had claimed that an amount of Rs 35 lakh was spent in recording PM Modi’s fitness video, but the claim was rejected by PMO, stating that ‘no money was spent in maing the video. The video was recorded in PM’s house.’ The RTI response said that the videography was done by Prime Minister’s office’s cameraman and nothing was purchased for the video. In the video, PM could be seen performing Yoga. Hum Fit Toh India Fit challenged started a week ahead of Yoga Day. This video came  in the wake of the same challenge.
