Eight Years Of Modi Govt: PM To Visit Shimla Today, Participate In 'Garib Kalyan Sammelan'
Prime Minister will interact directly with the beneficiaries of various programs of the nine Ministries/Departments of the Government of India.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the 'Garib Kalyan Sammelan' on the completion of eight years of his government in Shimla today and interact directly with the beneficiaries of various schemes. The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in a statement on Monday said that the program gives an opportunity to the elected public representatives across the country to interact directly with the public to get feedback about the various welfare programs being run by the government.
The Prime Minister will participate in the 'Garib Kalyan Sammelan' on May 31 at around 11 am at ridge, the statement said. The 'Garib Kalyan Sammelan' will start at around 11 am, in which Chief Ministers, Union Ministers, Ministers of State, Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Assembly and other elected public representatives will interact directly with the public at their respective places across the country, the statement said.
According to the statement, with Prime Minister Modi joining the program at around 11 am, various state and local level programs will get coverage and the convention will be made national.
During the conference, the Prime Minister will interact directly with the beneficiaries of various programs of the nine Ministries/Departments of the Government of India.
According to the statement, the purpose of this interaction is to get unambiguous and frank opinions from the public, to understand the impact of welfare schemes on people's lives, and to find ways to coordinate various government schemes.
According to the statement, Prime Minister Modi will also release the 11th installment of financial benefits under the 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi' scheme. With this, an amount of about Rs 21 thousand crore will be transferred to more than 10 crore farmer families. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will also interact with the beneficiaries of this scheme across the country.
