During this three-day visit, PM Modi met the leaders of Germany and Denmark and he also addressed the Indian diaspora in both Berlin and Copenhagen.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s three-day visit to Europe comes to an end with his last visit scheduled to Paris today. PM Modi will depart from Denmark today to meet recently re-elected President of France Emmanuel Macron. Before leaving for Paris, he will attend the second India-Nordic Summit in Denmark.

The second India-Nordic Summit will be attended by the leaders of Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Sweden, and Norway taking forward the first India-Nordic summit of 2018 that took place in Stockholm, Sweden.

Ahead of his departure on Sunday, PM Modi had said, "The Summit will focus on subjects like post-pandemic economic recovery, climate change, innovation and technology, renewable energy, the evolving global security scenario, and India-Nordic cooperation in the Arctic region.”

"On the side-lines of the Summit, I will also meet the leaders of the other four Nordic countries and review the progress in India's bilateral relations with them," he had said.

PM Modi’s meeting with French President Macron will take place post the summit over a brief stop in Paris.

During this three-day visit, PM Modi met the leaders of Germany and Denmark and he also addressed the Indian diaspora in both Berlin and Copenhagen.

In Berlin, PM Modi met the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz before participating in the sixth India-Germany Inter-Governmental Consultations. Both leaders signed a total of nine agreements, including a Joint Declaration of Intent (JDI) on Green and Sustainable Development Partnership under which Germany agreed to make an advance commitment of 10 billion euros of new and additional developmental assistance to India until 2030.

In Copenhagen, PM Modi met his Danish counterpart Mette Frederiksen and held discussions on bilateral issues like trade and cooperation on environmental actions. Both countries formally signed a number of agreements including a Declaration of Intent (DoI) on Migration and Mobility, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of skill development, Vocational Education, and Entrepreneurship, and the launch of energy policy dialogue at ministerial level between the two countries.
