PM Modi To Address Nation Through 'Mann Ki Baat' Today; Discussion On Ram Tempe, Coronavirus Likely

New Delhi: As India continues to fight against the novel Coronavirus that has so far infected over 13 lakh people, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation through his monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat' at 11 am on Sunday, July 26. This will be PM Modi's 77th 'Mann Ki Baat' episode where he has invited people with 'inspiring anecdotes' of their collective efforts have brought about positive changes in the society. Informing citizens about the same, PM Modi took to Twitter and shared a number them to post their recorded messages. He has also asked countrymen to use the NaMo app and MyGov website to post their stories.
“I am sure you would be aware of inspiring anecdotes of how collective efforts have brought about positive changes. You would surely know of initiatives that have transformed many lives. Please share them for this month’s #MannKiBaat, which will take place on the 26th!” PM Modi had tweeted on July 11," Prime Minister tweeted.

With a few days left for Ram Mandir ground breaking ceremony, PM may also touch the subject. In his last Mann Ki Baat episode which was aired on June 28, PM Modi talked about the border standoff with China and also heaped praise for the Indian Army soldiers who were martyred in Ladakh's Galway Valley clash with Chinese troops on June 15. "Those who cast an evil eye on the Indian soil in Ladakh have got a befitting response. India honours the spirit of friendship, but India is also capable of giving an appropriate response to any adversary, without shying away," he had said. Further in his address, PM Modi also spoke about the need for carefulness to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic and urged the citizens to be more vigilant during the 'unlock' period. India on Saturday witnessed a single day surge of 48,916 positive cases and 757 deaths, according to the data released by the Health Ministry.
