Fuel Price Hike: Petrol & Diesel Rates Rise For Fourth Consecutive Day By 35 Paise. Chennai Crosses 100-Mark

New Delhi: Fuel prices saw a hike for the fourth consecutive day after by 35 paise per litre each, in Delhi the prices of petrol and diesel were hiked by Rs 0.35 and will cost Rs107.24 per litre and Rs 95.97 per litre respectively.
Petrol & diesel prices per litre Rs 113.12 & Rs 104.00 in Mumbai, meanwhile, the prices of petrol & diesel were Rs 107.78 & Rs 99.08 respectively.

The rising fuel prices in the country are not going to come down immediately. The central government is in talks with several oil-exporting countries on the issue of supply and demand of oils but there is no possibility of immediate relief in prices.
According to HT Mint, in Bengaluru, petrol is available at Rs 110.98 per litre and diesel at Rs 101.86 and in Hyderabad, one litre of petrol is now available at Rs 111.55 and diesel costs Rs 104.70 for one litre of diesel.
The costliest fuel was in the border town of Ganganagar in Rajasthan, where petrol comes for Rs 119.42 a litre and diesel for Rs 110.26 per litre, the report said.
Prices differ from state to state depending on the incidence of local taxes. International benchmark Brent crude on Thursday was trading above USD 85 per barrel, USD 11 more than last month. Being a net importer of oil, India prices petrol and diesel at rates equivalent to international prices. The surge in international oil prices ended a three-week hiatus in rate revision on September 28 for petrol and September 24 for diesel.
On Monday, a source told ANI that the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas recently raised concerns about the matter of pricing, supply and demand of oils to the major oil-producing countries.
"As crude oil prices rise internationally, the petroleum ministry has called on the energy ministries of many countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Russia and others," the source told ANI.
