Parliament Monsoon Session LIVE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over a high-level meeting with his top ministers before the Lok Sabha assembled for the day. The monsoon session of the Parliament continued to witness disruptions in business as the Opposition demanded that the Pegasus snooping controversy be discussed on the floor of the House and sought answers from the Centre over matters, including the new farm laws.
On Wednesday, the Lok Sabha also passed two bills - The Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas Bill, 2021 and Coconut Development Board (Amendment) Bill, 2021.
The opposition parties have been relentlessly protesting against the Bharatiya Janata Party-led central government, amid Pegasus snooping controversy where the government has been accused of its involvement in spying on politicians, journalists and sitting ministers. The government has maintained that the allegations are false.
10 Issues Taken Up During The Question Hour
When the Question Hour commenced, Opposition parties started protesting against the Pegasus spyware controversy, farm laws and other issues. Many members trooped into the Well of the House, shouting slogans and displaying placards.
Amid the day, at least 10 questions and supplementaries were taken up during the Question Hour.
Lok Sabha Adjourned Till Tomorrow
The proceedings of the Lok Sabha were adjourned for the fourth time on Thursday as the Opposition members continued with their protests over the Pegasus spyware and other issues.
After the House convened at 4 PM, Rama Devi, who was in the chair, requested the protesting members to go back to their seats and allow the smooth functioning of the proceedings.
As the sloganeering continued, Devi adjourned the House till tomorrow.

Monsoon Session LIVE: BJP hits out at Congress for disrupting Parliament
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hit out at the Congress for disrupting Parliament and not allowing discussion on serious issues.
Addressing the media, former union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said, “The motto of Congress is plain and simple, so long as Parliament is allowed to subserve the dynasty, it will be allowed to function, otherwise not.”
Monsoon Session LIVE: Opposition slams government for absence of ministers in Parliament
The Opposition slammed the government in Rajya Sabha for the absence of their ministers from the parliamentary proceedings. They said that these ministers were disrespecting the Parliament by getting their papers laid on the table by the minister of state for parliamentary affairs instead of doing so themselves.
