Pakistani organization invokes morphed pics of Indian celebrities to oppose pellet guns in Kashmir
New Delhi: An online campaign by a Pakistani organization has invoked Indian celebrities in its opposition of using pellet guns in Kashmir.
The organization called Never Forget Pakistan has released a series of morphed photos of Indian celebrities, showing their faces and eyes injured by pellets.
The organization used the morphed pictures of Virat Kohli, Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan and many others.
The campaign is launched amid controversial comments made by Pakistani leadership on the situation in Kashmir.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh retorted to these comments on Sunday as he told Pakistan not to encourage people in Jammu and Kashmir to become terrorists.
At the end of a two-day visit to the Kashmir Valley, Srinagar and Anantnag included, the minister said New Delhi was ready for talks that will help bring “peace and normalcy” in the state.
His trip came amid the deadliest unrest in years that has left 45 people dead in violent stone-throwing protests following the July 8 killing of top pro-Pakistan rebel commander Burhan Wani.
“I urge the youth of Kashmir not to engage in stone-pelting and also ask the security forces to avoid using pellet guns against protesters as far as possible,” Rajnath Singh told reporters here.
