Pak Intruder Shot Dead, Another Arrested Along International Border In J&K
Two attempts by Pakistani intruders to infiltrate the Indian territory were successfully stopped by Border Security Force on Tuesday morning.
A Pakistani intruder was killed while trying to enter the Indian territory, while another was arrested along the International Border, on Tuesday by Border Security Force (BSF), reported news agency PTI. In the early hours of the day, both infiltration attempts were scuttled by the alert troops in the Arnia sector of Jammu and Ramgarh in Samba district, said the spokesperson of BSF.
Speaking on the incident, the spokesperson said that the BSF troops opened fire at the Pakistani intruder when they noticed him approaching the border fence in Arnia aggressively. He said, "He was challenged to stop but he did not pay any heed. Finding no other alternative, the troops fired and killed him." Further speaking on the intruder who was arrested, he said, "He was brought inside the Indian side of the fence after opening the gate. Nothing incriminating was found from his possession so far."

He added that the entire area in both sectors is now being thoroughly searched to ensure that the security along the borders hasn't been breached.
Another similar attempt by a Pakistani intruder to infiltrate Indian territory was stopped successfully in the month of August. Mohd Shabad, a 45-year-old Sialkot man, was caught in the act of crossing the boundary into the Arnia sector when the BSF officers detected him trying to infiltrate, according to the news agency PTI. The security guards fired a few warning shots before capturing the individual, according to the officials, who also noted that there was no incriminating material on this person.

A major smuggling attempt was stopped by BSF personnel when they found eight kilos of suspected heroin from the infiltrator near the International Border in the Samba area on August 25.
Despite being fired at and suffering injuries, the invader made it back to Pakistani territory by crawling.
