Mortal Remains Of Pakistani Intruder Returned To PoK Authorities; Was Shot Dead By BSF In Uri Sector
The intruder was shot dead on Tuesday after BSF jawans observed a movement across the fence ahead of post at Dulanja and he was fired at after multiple warnings were ignored.
Baramulla: The body of an intruder who was shot dead by Border Security Force (BSF) in ‘No Man’s Land’ at Line of Control (LoC) in Dulanja village of this border town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district was on Thursday afternoon handed-over to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) authorities. “Both armies were in touch with each other and this afternoon the body was handed over to authorities on the other side of LOC via Kaman Post,” SHO Uri, Mohammad Ashraf said.
The deceased has been identified as Kamran Chack son of Mohammad Nazir, a resident of Bandi Sochian tehsil of district Hattian Bala in Pakistani side of Kashmir.
Ashraf said that a close relative of the deceased from the other side of the border identified the man.
Officials from the police, Army, civil administration and health department were present on the spot.
The intruder was shot dead on Tuesday after BSF jawans observed an individual moving suspiciously across the fence ahead of own post at Dulanja and was fired at by the sentry after multiple warnings were ignored.
