'Not Here To Do Politics': Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann Hold 'Tiranga Yatra' In Kullu Ahead Of Himachal Polls

Kejriwal, along with Mann, began his 'Tiranga Yatra' from Dhalpur in Kullu, where they got a grand welcome by the party workers.

New Delhi: Ahead of the Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh this year, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, along with Punjab Chief Minister Bhgawant Mann held a roadshow in Kullu on Saturday. Addressing the gathering, Kejriwal said that he is not here to do politics and his only objective is to eradicate corruption.

“We don't know politics. Our journey started from Anna movement & then we formed a party. We vowed to eliminate corruption from the country. First, we ended corruption in Delhi & then started process (to end) it in Punjab,” news agency ANI quoted Kejriwal as saying.

Talking about his agenda of providing good education and eradicating poverty, Kejriwal said, “The tricolour is our pride and it will only be held high when every child of the country will get good education, poverty will be eradicated, and farmers and laborers will get their fair price.”

Taking potshots at the BJP and Congress, the AAP national convenor said, “Himachal Pradesh has a budget of several thousand crores. Where does this money go? This money has once filled the pockets of the Congressmen and once went to the BJP workers.”

Lauding the Punjab CM for sending one of his ministers to jail over corruption charges, Kejriwal said, “Did you ever hear about a CM sending his min to jail? CM Mann found out that his Health Minister is involved in unscrupulous activities. The Opposition and the media didn't know. Had he wanted, he could've brushed it under carpet or asked for his share. But he sent him to jail.”

As per reports, Kejriwal, along with Mann, began his 'Tiranga Yatra' from Dhalpur in Kullu, where they got a grand welcome by the party workers.

Notably, this is Kejriwal's fourth visit to the hill state in recent days. The AAP leaders had last visited the state's Hamirpur district on June 11 ahead of the Assembly polls.

After a massive victory in Punjab, the AAP is eyeing Himachal Pradesh that will be going to polls at the end of this year.
