NIA Conducts Raids In Mumbai And Pune, 4 Alleged ISIS Sympathisers Detained

During the search operations, multiple incriminating material, including digital devices etc, were seized from the accused and their houses. These sympathisers were to the adverse notice of the Central agency since early 2021. Search operations are still going on. A raid was conducted in Wazir Cascade Society under Kondhwa Police Station today and an individual named Zubair Sheikh, 39 was arrested for alleged links with the ISIS.
According to ABP News sources, some documents and electronic gadgets were recovered from Zuber.
Earlier, NIA team arrested a youth from Chhotki Bazar of the Behera police station area at Darbhanga, in connection with a PFI case, Darbhanga's Senior Superintendent of Police Abhishek Kumar said on Sunday.
The youth used to study in Patna. The NIA team arrested the youth with the help of the Darbhanga police. Darbhanga SSP Avakash Kumar said, "NIA with the help of Darbhanga police arrested a suspected youth who is a suspect in a PFI case, from Chotki Bazar of the Bahera police station area," as quoted by the news agency ANI. NIA and Bihar ATS teams jointly carried out raids at Mohammad Riazuddin Kasmi's book stall in front of Imarat-e-Saria in Phulwari Sharif, in Patna district.
Last week, the NIA announced on Friday the creation of a collaborative structured framework with the Haryana, Punjab, and Chandigarh police for real-time intelligence exchange and coordinated action against the gang ecosystem in the northern area, news agency PTI reported. On Friday, NIA Director General (DG) Dinkar Gupta presided over a meeting of the leaders of the three police forces, emphasising the need of coordinated work in combating organised crime.
