New Delhi: Patients suffer as the protest called by the Federation of Resident Doctors' Association (FORDA) over the delay in counselling of NEET-PG 2021 intensified. On Friday resident doctors of Delhi's government-run hospitals like RML, Safdarjung and Lady Hardinge hospitals decided to boycott all the routine services which was then extended emergency services as well on Monday.

“All resident doctors (Junior and Senior residents) appointed on ad-hoc basis are informed that they cannot indulge themselves nor participate in any strike activity. Non-observance of rules attracts disciplinary action as deemed fit including termination,” says the circular according to a report by ANI.

The Directorate General Of Health Services has also appealed to the doctors sitting in protest to return to work after they boycotted all regular services in hospitals.

“I once again appeal to you to return to duties & lend your support to Health Minister & MoHFW who are trying their best to solve the sub judice matter,” said Directorate General Of Health Services according to ANI.

He also added that by returning to work, the doctors will send a strong ‘nationalistic and moralistic’ message.

“Returning to duties will give a very strong message of nationalistic, moralistic & rational approach in these most challenging times for yourself as well as for poor & common men of our beloved country for it's they who suffer from such strike.”
