Muzaffarnagar: Local BJP leader shot dead by bike-borne assailants

Raja Balmiki, former Khatoli city BJP general secretary, was shot dead by the assailants at his shop.

MUZAFFARNAGAR: A local BJP leader was shot dead by three unidentified bike borne assailants in Khatoli town of the district on Wednesday morning. Raja Balmiki, former Khatoli city BJP general secretary, was shot dead by the assailants at his shop today, SHO K P Singh said. Meanwhile, protesting against the murder, irate people blocked the Delhi-Dehradun national highway at Khatoli. The security has been tightened in the area, the SHO said.
