Mumbai Traffic Advisory: Mumbai Police announced specific traffic regulations for New Year's Eve with directives including parking restrictions, road closures, and alternative parking arrangements

In preparation for the New Year celebrations, Mumbai Police has announced specific traffic regulations aimed at ensuring the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of pedestrians. According to a statement, these traffic regulations will be in effect from 6 PM on Sunday (December 31, 2023), until 6:00 AM on Monday (January 1, 2024). The directives include parking restrictions, road closures, and alternative parking arrangements on various roads across the city.

Mumbai Traffic Advisory: Routes Closed On New Year's Eve:

• Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Marg: The stretch from the junction of Shyama Prasad Mukharjee Chowk (Regal Junction) towards Gateway of India up to The Bombay Presidency Club (Radio Club) in the South Bound and Return from Radio Club towards Regal Junction in the North Bound will be closed for all vehicular traffic except emergency vehicles, the statement informed.

   Alternative Route: Shahid Bhagat Singh Marg Left turn - Mahakavi Bhushan Marg - Right turn - Boman Behram Road.

• Adam Street: The section between Boman Behram Road junction and Mahakavi Bhushan Marg junction will be closed for all vehicles except emergency vehicles and Best buses, the police stated.

   Alternative Route: Mahakavi Bhushan Marg Right turn - Boman Behram Road Right turn - K. S. Dhariya Chowk (Best Junction).

• P. Ramchandani Marg: The stretch from Bombay Presidency Club (Radio Club) to Adam Street junction will be closed for all types of vehicular traffic except emergency vehicles, the Traffic police informed.

   Alternative Route: The Bombay Presidency Club (Radio Club) Haji Niyaz Azmi Marg Bhid Bhanjan Mandir right turn via Shahid Bhagat Sing Marg.

• K.S. Dhariya Chowk (BEST Junction): The section of Best Road from Smt. Vaylet Alva Chowk to P. Ramchandani Road will be closed for all vehicular traffic except emergency vehicles.

   Alternative Route: K. S. Dhariya Chowk (Best Junction) Smt. Vaylet Alva Chowk Right turn - Boman Behram Road Haji Niyaz Azmi Marg Left turn - The Bombay Presidency Club (Radio Club).

Besides this, no parking will be allowed for all types of vehicles on Mahakavi Bhushan Marg, Best Road, Henry Road, Boman Behram Road, and Haji Niyaz Azmi Marg from 6 PM on December 31, 2023, until 6:00 AM on January 1, 2024.
