Mumbai: Bombay HC rejects gangster Abu Salem's plea seeking 45-day parole for his marriage
Salem, who is serving a life sentence wanted to get married for the third time.
Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Tuesday rejected 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blast case convict Abu Salem’s plea seeking parole of 45 days to get married.
“Authorities have rejected an application of 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case convict Abu Salem seeking a 40-day parole to get married, a senior police official said today”.
Salem, who is serving a life sentence wanted to get married for the third time.
In 2015, a 26-year-old woman had filed a plea in TADA court seeking permission to marry Salem.
Gangster Salem,who was extradited from Portugal in 2005, originally is from Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh.
Salem and four others were convicted in the Mumbai blasts case by the special court.
The 1993 bombings in the financial capital had killed 257 people and injured 713 others.
