Monsoon Session 2020: It is a must for all the members, staff, and leaders to get themselves tested for COVID-19 and submit the report 72 hours ahead of the Parliament session.
The authenticity of COVID-19 tests done in India is once again being questioned after Rajasthan MP Hanuman Beniwal shared two of his contrasting COVID-19 test reports, one showing him COVID-19 Positive while the other report said he tested negative for the novel Coronavirus. Beniwal, who represents the Nagaur constituency in Rajasthan, took to Twitter on Monday to share both of the reports. The first test was conducted by the ICMR – National Institute of Cancer Research and Prevention in Delhi as part of the rules in order to participate in the Parliament Monsoon Session. The report showed 'Positive', implicating he was infected with the Coronavirus.
Unable to attend the Parliament session due to the COVID-19 positive reports, Beniwal returned Jaipur where he again underwent the COVID-19 test. But this time, the reports showed 'Negative', implicating he was not infected with the Coronavirus. The second test was conducted by Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur.
Left completely puzzled, Beniwal took to the micro-blogging site and shared both the test reports. He said, "I got myself tested for COVID-19 on the Lok Sabha premises. It turned out to be positive. Afterward, I got the Coronavirus test done in Jaipur-based SMS hospital, which showed the result as negative. I am sharing both the reports with you. Which report shall be considered accurate?"
It is worth mentioning that it is a must for all the members, staff, and leaders to get themselves tested for COVID-19 and submit the report 72 hours ahead of the Parliament session.

These MPs, 12 of whom belong to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), had been tested on September 13-14 ahead of the session. Two MPs belonging to the YSR Congress Party and one each from the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP), and the Shiv Sena.
