Mathura: 6 people, including main accused, arrested in connection with murder of 2 jewellers
New Delhi: Six people, including main accused, arrested by police in connection with the murder of two jewellers in Mathura district of the Uttar Pradesh.
The arrests took place on late Friday night. He had said this in reference to double murder which took place in the Mathura district on Tuesday.
Interestingly, Mathura is the Constituency of the minister.
On Tuesday, three police officials were suspended in the wake of the robbery incident in Koyalawali Gali in the city in which two traders were killed.
Sub-inspector Prateek Kumar, in-charge police outpost Holi Gate, along with two constables were suspended for the incident.
The local police officials were given a time of three days to crack the case.
ADG, Agra Zone, Ajai Anand also had visited the spot and assured the traders that the case would be worked out at the earliest.
"We are planning to launch a scheme for the safety of traders," he had told the traders, reported PTI.
"It is a serious matter and we have taken it seriously," ADG Anand had said.
