'Did CM Biren Singh Invite Modi To Visit Manipur?': Congress Slams PM Amid Reports Of Ukraine Visit
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh also lashed out at Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh asking him whether he discussed the situation in his state with the PM separately one-on-one.
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday for not visiting violence-hit Manipur amid media reports suggesting that a visit by the PM to Ukraine is on the cards. He also trained guns on Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh asking him whether he discussed the situation in his state with the PM separately one-on-one.
Singh was in Delhi on Saturday to attend the NITI Aayog meeting which was presided over by Modi. The Manipur Chief Minister later attended the meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party chief ministers and deputy chief ministers which was also presided by the PM.
"The Chief Minister of Manipur attends the NITI Aayog meeting in New Delhi presided over by the self-anointed non-biological PM. Then the Manipur CM attends a meeting of BJP CMs and Deputy CMs presided over by the same deity," said Ramesh in a post on X.

The simple question that the people of Manipur are…
"The simple question that the people of Manipur are asking is this: Did Shri N. Biren Singh meet with Shri Narendra Modi separately one-on-one and discuss the situation in Manipur, which started burning on the night of May 3rd 2023?" said the Congress leader.
"Did Shri Biren Singh invite Shri Narendra Modi to visit Manipur, either before or after His trip to Ukraine," he added.
Manipur has been in the grip of ethnic violence between the Meitei and Kuki communities since May 3, 2023. More than 200 people have been killed while thousands have been displaced since the start of the violence.
In Delhi, Biren Singh said he reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to serve the nation by strengthening the party and upholding its core values and ideology.
