New Delhi: Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has received threat calls again allegedly over his stand on the row between Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut and the Maharashtra government. A report by PTI says that the minister got calls from different persons from Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday and at around 6 am on Wednesday and the matter is being probed. This comes after Monday's anonymous call threatening him and NCP chief Sharad Pawar. The caller had phoned his Nagpur office. Transport Minister Anil Parab said that the caller, whose identity is not clear, reportedly called up at least twice on the landlines of "Matoshree" - the CM's private residence in Bandra east - on Saturday and said he wanted to speak to Thackeray and also threatened to blow up Thackeray’s private residence. The police have started investigating the matter. Amid the controversy over the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, Anil Deshmukh accused Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut of being involved with drug peddlers. While speaking to media, Deshmukh said Shekhar Suman's son Adhyaan Suman while speaking to a media organisation, had said that Kangana used to give him drug which shows his involvement with the drug racket. Deshmukh also said that all these claims will now be probed. Deshmukh also informed that Shiv Sena leaders Sunil Prabhu and Pratap had earlier submitted copies of Adhyayan Suman’s interview to the government and demanded an inquiry. The 'Queen' actress has refused all the claims and said she would leave the city forever if any link of drug peddlers found in her record. "I am more than happy to oblige Mumbai Police & Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. Please do my drug tests, investigate my call records if you find any links to drug peddlers ever I will accept my mistake and leave Mumbai forever, looking forward to meeting you," Kangana said, as quoted by news agency ANI.
