Love jihad will change demography of Kerala soon: Naveen Kumar

Later on, another former Chief Minister Ooman Chandi also echoed his views, said Kumar.

New DelhiA special screening of the film titled IN THE NAME OF LOVEbased on the burning issue of Love jihad, took place here. This film warns about the danger of Love Jihad in the country and says that the love jihad will change the demography of the Kerala soon which will have negative impact on the entire nation and will lead to social unrest in the other parts of the country. The film produced by The Global Indian Foundation & Last Monk Films Delhi, portrays all pervasive, deep-rooted and much discussed problem of love jihad and clarifies that it is an strategy adopted by some vested groups for vested interest and ideology. According to presenter of the film and Chairman of The Global Indian Foundation Naveen Kumar, the terminology “Love Jihad” may have gained currency in the recent years but Hindus are facing this problem since centuries. Earlier it was used to demean and debase Hindus but now it is being used to propagate radical Islamic ideologies of ISIS and Taliban. Naveen Kumar said VS Achyutanandan, CPM patriarch and former Kerala Chief Minister first raised a serious alarm on this issue in a press conference in Delhi when he said, “Popular Front (PFI) is trying to make Kerala a Muslim State within next 20-years - just like the agenda of the banned organization NDF. Their activities include cutting off arms and legs of their rivals. They are influencing youngsters by giving them money, converting non-Muslims into Muslims, marrying non-Muslim girls… all eventually making Kerala a Muslim majority state, slowly.” Later on, another former Chief Minister Ooman Chandi also echoed his views, said Kumar. Kumar said, besides Hindu organisations, courts too have taken cognisance of this issue. "Love jihad will change demography of Kerala soon," Naveen Kumar cautioned. He said Rekha Sharma, Chairperson, National Commission for Women too has expressed concern over this issue. Quoting a recent government report Kumar claimed, since 2009, more than 17,000 girls from Kerala and more than 15,000 girls from Mangalore from Hindu and Christian communities have been converted to Islam and most of them ended up landing in Syria, Afghanistan and other ISIS and Taliban ruled areas. The director and producer of the film – Sudipto Sen, Rohit Kumar, Hemant Sharma were also present.
