'If Sangh Govt Remains In Power...': Congress Sounds Lok Sabha Poll Bugle At Nagpur Rally
Addressing the rally, Mallikarjun Kharge said democracy will be completely destroyed if the “Sangh government” continues to hold the administrative reins of the country.
New Delhi: Launching a scathing attack on the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge said if the parties in the Opposition bloc I.N.D.I.A remain united, the saffron party will not be able to make a headway in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections next year. He was addressing the 'Hain Tayyar Hum' rally in Maharashtra's Nagpur.
Speaking at the rally on the party’s 139th foundation day, Kharge said democracy will be completely destroyed if the “Sangh government” continues to hold the administrative reins of the country.
“During the last 10 years, the BJP and RSS have disturbed the country. If this Sangh Government is not stopped, the country will be ruined,” the senior Congress leader said.

Underling the fact that the election battle is essentially between two ideologies, Kharge said, “There are two ideologies in Nagpur. One ideology is progressive, which belongs to Babasaheb Ambedkar. On the other side is the RSS ideology, which is destroying the nation.”
Speaking on the Parliament breach issue, the Congress president said the Opposition leaders just wanted to know what caused the security lapse, how did the intruders manage to enter the House. Instead of answering these questions, 146 MPs were suspended.
He further said the Opposition members were suspended but no action was taken against the BJP MP, under whose name the visitors’ passes were issued to the intruders.

“We were not allowed to speak inside the Parliament. We just asked how did those intruders enter the Parliament building, why they entered the Parliament and who was behind this. Instead of a BJP MP (who issued passes to the accused), if it was a Congress MP, then we would have been disgraced and insulted. They suspended 146 Opposition members to save their one MP. We will keep fighting,” Kharge said.
