Kisan Nyay Rally: Priyanka Gandhi Attacks BJP In Congress Rally, Says Government Failed To Deliver Justice

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was also present along with Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra at the Kisan Nyaya Rally in Varanasi.

Uttar Pradesh Elections: The UP Congress has formally launched its election campaign for the 2022 assembly elections from today. Priyanka Gandhi first offered prayers at Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Durga Temple in Varanasi.

After this she addressed a rally. The rally that was earlier named as 'Pratigya Rally', has now been renamed as 'Kisan Nyaya Rally'. Priyanka Gandhi began addressing the rally with a shloka on Maa Durga. Speaking on the Yogi government, she said that the people do not expect justice in the BJP government.

Priyanka Gandhi said, "Those who ask for justice here are suppressed. Whether it is Hathras, Unnao or Lakhimpur Kheri. The BJP government has failed to deliver justice. PM Modi celebrates the festival of independence, but who has given this freedom. This freedom has been given by the farmers. They do not want to meet the farmers."

At the Kisan Nyaya Rally in Varanasi, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said, "The son of the Minister of State for Home Affairs of this country brutally crushed 6 farmers under his car and all the families say that we want justice, not compensation. But there is no one who can give justice in this government.

"The Chief Minister is sitting on the stage, defending the minister (Minister of State for Home Affairs) whose son has done such a thing (Lakhimpur Kheri incident). The Prime Minister could come to Lucknow but could not go to Lakhimpur that is just two hours away to wipe the tears of those farmers?" she added.
