Kerala: 4 Arrested For Alleged Attack On Christmas Carol Party In Kumbanad
Kerala police confirmed that the arrested individuals were part of another church's carol party and stated that investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend others involved in the incident.
Four people have been arrested in connection with an alleged attack on a Christmas carol party in the Kumbanad area in Kerala. The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday and reportedly involved a scuffle between members of carol parties from two different churches.
According to Koipuram police station's jurisdiction, the dispute arose over allegations that the carol team under attack had failed to dim their performance lights while passing along the road. The altercation took place around 1:30 am while the carol team was performing at a residence. Women in the group were also reportedly affected during the scuffle, as per a report on PTI.

Kerala Celebrates Christmas with Grandeur
On Wednesday, Christmas celebrations across Kerala continued with joy and fervor. Churches across the state began special prayers on Tuesday evening, culminating in midnight masses.
In Thiruvananthapuram, Cardinal George Koovakkattil led prayers at Lourde Forane Church, while Cardinal Baselios Cleemis, Major Archbishop of the Malankara Catholic Church, conducted services at St Mary’s Church in Pattom. Kerala Congress MP Shashi Tharoor too attended the reception.

In Wayanad district, survivours of the Mundakkai and Chooralmala landslides offered special prayers at St Sebastian Church in Chooralmala on Tuesday evening. The special prayer service, held at 7 pm, provided an opportunity for attendees to remember loved ones lost in the disaster and reflect on the spirit of resilience during the festive season.
