J&K: SPO who stole weapons from PDP MLA's residence joins Hizbul Mujahideen
SPO Adil Bashir went missing, along with 10 weapons, from the guard room at the residence of PDP MLA from Wachi constituency Aijaz Ahmad Mir.
Srinagar: A special police officer (SPO) who had fled with several rifles on Friday from the residence of a PDP MLA at Jawahar Nagar in the city where he was posted has reportedly joined terrorist outfit Hizbul Mujahideen.
In the viral photographs, which is now doing rounds on social media sites, the SPO can be seen with top Hizbul commander Zeenat ul Islam & his other associates. Bashir can be seen in a red jacket holding two guns with Zeenat ul Islam on his left in blue pheran. It is said that the arms that Bashir looted from PDP MLA's residence are with Hizbul Mujahideen.
SPO Adil Bashir went missing, along with 10 weapons, from the guard room at the residence of PDP MLA from Wachi constituency Aijaz Ahmad Mir on Friday. It is reported that the SFO was in contact with the terrorists from a long time.
The SPO, who hails from the militancy-hit Shopian district of south Kashmir, has taken away 10 weapons five AK-47 rifles, four INSAS rifle and a pistol.
Police had earlier announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh on information leading to his arrest.
