A Pakistani intruder was nabbed by the Indian Army in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. Mohammad Usman (30) is a resident of Karela village of Kotli in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

A Pakistani intruder was nabbed by the Indian Army as he attempted to infiltrate from across the Line of Control (LoC) in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. Mohammad Usman (30), a resident of Karela village of Kotli in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), was intercepted by troops after he entered Tarkundi village late Sunday evening, news agency PTI reported officials as saying on Monday.

As per PTI's report, the officials stated that nothing incriminating was recovered from the possession of the intruder, who is being questioned.

Earlier on April 29, Indian troops detained a father-son duo from PoK who had inadvertently crossed into this side in the nearby Poonch district. Both individuals were later repatriated to Pakistan through the Chakan Da Bagh border crossing point.

The duo, identified as Sardar Abdul Hamid and his son Abbass of Polas village were nabbed in the Gulpur sector immediately after they intruded into this side from across the border, Army officials said.

The officials said the questioning of the two revealed that they had lost their way and inadvertently crossed the LoC.

The Indian army established contact with their Pakistani counterparts and subsequently the father-son pair was repatriated through Chakan Da Bagh border crossing.

Earlier in April, a Pakistani intruder was killed and two others were arrested after the Army foiled an infiltration bid along LoC in Poonch, PTI reported.

The Indian Army launched a search operation shortly after the incident, and one of the intruders was nabbed in a wounded condition, and the third one was apprehended later.

The Army officials recovered three bags with fourteen packets of narcotics weighing around 17 kg, notes of Pakistan currency, some documents, and eatables.

More details are awaited about the fresh infiltration bid.
