Israel Embassy Blast: Two Suspects Seen In CCTV Footage; NIA Announces Rs 10 Lakh Reward For Information

As per the information received, the suspects reached Abdul Kalam Road after taking an auto from Jamia Nagar and after keeping the explosives the duo left in another auto for Akbar Road and took off their jackets to hide their identity.

New Delhi: In a major development in connection with the blast outside the Israel embassy in the national capital earlier on January 29 this year, two suspects have been spotted in the CCTV footage.

As per the CCTV footage, one suspect is holding a rifle in his hand while the other has a bag in his hand.

As per the information received, the suspects reached Abdul Kalam Road after taking an auto from Jamia Nagar and after keeping the explosives the duo left in another auto for Akbar Road and took off their jackets to hide their identity.

This case, earlier being investigated by the Delhi Police Special Cell, was later transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which has announced a reward for information on the two suspects.

“#NIA India is seeking information to help identify two suspected individuals seen in CCTV footage in connection with NIA Case RC-02/2021/NIA/DLI related to explosion near Israeli Embassy, New Delhi,” the NIA posted on Twitter.

“Any information leading to identification and arrest of these individuals will be rewarded with cash of Rs. 10,00,000/- each. Earlier on January 29 this year, a very low-intensity blast occurred near the Israeli embassy in New Delhi. Some cars were damaged in the blast that took place near the pavement outside the embassy on APJ Abdul Kalam Road. No one was, however, injured in the blast.
