‘Developed India, Unity & Unison...’: PM Modi Lays Down ‘5 Pran’ For 100 Years Of Freedom

PM Modi enumerated the ‘Panchpran’ as —  Developed India, Removal of traces of slavery, take pride in our heritage, unity and unison, and responsibilities of citizens.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his address to the nation on the 75th year of Independence Day put up ‘5 Praan’ (five pledges) to be observed for the 100th year of Independence of India in the year 2047. “As we enter Amrit Kaal, the next 25 years are very important for us and that is why today, when I look back at the strength of 130 crore Indians in front of me and visualise their dreams, I feel we need to converge our energy on these five pledges,” he said.

PM Modi enumerated the ‘Panchpran’ as —  Developed India, Removal of traces of slavery, take pride in our heritage, unity and unison, and responsibilities of citizens.

“Now the country will move forward with big resolutions only for developed India, nothing less than that,” PM Modi said while enumerating the first pledge.

Talking about second pledge, PM Modi said, “there should be no traces of slavery in the slightest corner of our hearts or habbits. We need to get rid of slavery in every sense which has captured our minds and emotions from such a long time.”

PM Modi stressed on the importance of taking pride in our legacy while talking about the third pledge “because this is the same legacy which gave India its golden period,” he said.

Laying stress on the fourth pledge — unity and unison — PM Modi said that this is an important pledge for the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’.

Noting the fifth pledge, responsibilities of the citizens, Prime Minister Modi said that this is an important pledge to fulfil dreams and aspirations of the country in next five years. “All the countries of the world that progressed, people there follow a disciplined life and are dedicated towards their responsibilities,” he noted.
