Happy Birthday Narendra Modi: From his supporters to ministers, to his well-wishers, everyone has flooded the social media with their best wishes, leading to seven different Twitter hashtags related to the Prime Minister's birthday making it to the top 10 India trends on the micro-blogging site.
New Delhi: As Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 69 today, the whole nation is celebrating his birthday with him on September 17. From his supporters to ministers, to his well-wishers, everyone has flooded the social media with their best wishes, leading to seven different Twitter hashtags related to the Prime Minister's birthday making it to the top 10 India trends on the micro-blogging site.
While #happybirthdaynarendramodi topped the chart in the India trends with biggies using the hashtag to mark the special day, #HappyBirthdayPMModi, #HappyBirthdayPM and #NarendraModiBirthday were also trending on 3rd, 4th and 5th positions respectively.
In less than an hour, seven of the top 10 India trends were fuelled by wishes pouring in for Prime Minister Modi from different quarters. A large number of individuals expressed their warm wishes for the Prime Minister with many hailing him for his different achievements.
While netizens are showering their love on Prime Minister Narendra Modi through social media, the Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to observe the whole week as Seva Saptah, different states will celebrate the occasion in their own unique way. The Delhi BJP unit also celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday at India gate on midnight today.
Since being elected the prime minister in 2014, Narendra Modi has celebrated every birthday in a unique way every year. This year, he will begin celebration of his 69th birthday from Gandhinagar to Kevadia in Narmada district to review programmes and projects including the Statue of Unity and the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the river Narmada. Later he will visit his mother in Gujarat where he will seek her blessings.
During his tour, PM Modi is expected to perform a "Maa Narmada Poojan" and visit the Sardar Sarovar dam control room. He will also address a public meeting at Kevadia, a town approximately 200 km from Ahmedabad.
