Gujarat: Migrant worker allegedly rapes, kills 3-year-old girl in Surat

The accused Anil Yadav is from Bihar’s Arrah is yet to be arrested.

NEW DELHI: From Gujarat’s Surat, another case of rape has come up where a 3-year-old girl was allegedly subjected to brutal sexual assault by his neighbour. The girl, who is originally from Maharashtra, had gone missing when she was playing in front of her house in Limbayat area of Surat. After police launched a search operation, her body was found in the house of a man who used to live on rent. The accused Anil Yadav is from Bihar’s Arrah. He is on the run and is yet to be arrested. The police suspect that the girl was raped and are waiting for the forensic report to confirm whether the 3-year-old girl was subjected to sexual assault or not. While talking to ABP News, the residents of the society said that the accused Anil Yadav should be arrested as soon as possible and be hanged till death. Earlier this month, a minor was allegedly raped by a migrant worker in Sabarkantha district that led to attacks on Hindi-speaking migrants in parts of Gujarat. After it came to light that the rape accused hailed from Bihar, many groups in the state said migrant workers from other northern region should not be given jobs in Gujarat. Over 50,000 people belonging to Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar had reportedly fled Gujarat due to attacks on migrants.
