Gujarat: Congress Is Finished, Let's Move On, Says Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal

The AAP government will ensure each penny collected from the public as tax goes to the assistance of individuals of Gujarat, Kejriwal said.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said that the Congress is “finished” and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will contest all the seats in Gujarat in the Assembly elections due later this year. When a reporter asked Kejriwal to respond to the Congress' allegation that the AAP government of Punjab is spending crores in ads for Gujarat, Kejriwal said, ”Congress khatam ho gayi hai (meaning is Congress is finished). You should stop taking their questions. The public has no such questions on its mind.”

Earlier in the day, Kejriwal vowed to give individuals of Gujarat a "corruption-free" government in the event that the Aam Aadmi Party comes to power in the state as of now represented by the BJP.

That's what the AAP's national convener declared assuming his party voted to power in Gujarat, where the Assembly decisions are due later this year, it will guarantee its chief minister, ministers as well as lawmakers from other parties and government officials do not indulge and are imprisoned whenever discovered doing as such.

"Whosoever I met in Gujarat said there is corruption everywhere. One has to pay a bribe to get government work done. There is corruption at the lower level and at the top also there are scams. If one speaks against it, he is threatened...there is corruption and hooliganism everywhere in Gujarat," Kejriwal claimed while talking to reporters at a gathering in Ahmedabad.

The AAP government will ensure each penny collected from the public as tax goes to the assistance of individuals of Gujarat, he said.

"Today, I give a guarantee that when the AAP forms government in Gujarat, it will provide a corruption-free and fear-free government," he said.

Kejriwal additionally vowed to stop "illegal businesses" of present ministers and government officials in Gujarat, examine "scams" of the current government and recover money gathered through corrupt means so it very well may be spent on people in general.

"We will also open cases of paper leaks of the last 10 years and their masterminds will be arrested and jailed," the AAP leader said.

"Whenever I visit Gujarat, people talk of different scams. All the large scams during their tenure (of BJP government) will be investigated and the money recovered will be used to provide good schools, electricity -- for the service of the public," he said.

Kejriwal said if voted to power, his party government will ensure the general society isn't expected to pay bribes in government workplaces.
