Yellow Alert In Delhi: Lt Governor To Chair Crucial Meeting With DDMA Today. Further Curbs Likely
The agenda of the meeting would be to review the situation of Covid-19 in the national capital and discuss the preparation in the wake of increasing cases of Omicron variant.
New Delhi: The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) is scheduled to hold a crucial meeting on Wednesday at 4 pm which will be chaired by Delhi Lieutenant Governor, Anil Baijal. During the meeting, the current covid-19 pandemic situation and the looming omicron threat in the country will be discussed.
This crucial meeting will be held through video conferencing where Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Health Minister Satyendra Jain, Chief Secretary Vijay Dev, NITI Aayog member V K Paul, Revenue Minister Kailas Gehlot, National Disaster Management Authority Joint Secretary, secretaries of health and home departments of the city government along with experts will be attending the meeting.

The agenda of the meeting would be to review the situation of Covid-19 in the national capital and discuss the preparation in the wake of increasing cases of Omicron variant. The meeting will also take stock of the implementation of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) in Delhi.
As per the official notice, the implementation of a Yellow alert under the GRAP and the status of the ongoing vaccination programme would also be discussed in the meeting.

A Yellow alert was announced in Delhi on Tuesday under the Graded Response Action Plan which was formulated for the containment of Covid-19 in the national capital.
Under the yellow alert, all the gyms, cinema halls, multiplexes, auditoriums, spas, banquet halls, and sports complexes were shut with immediate effect. Whereas the Delhi Metro, restaurants, and bars were ordered to function at 50 percent capacity.
Yellow Alert In Delhi: Night Curfew From 10 PM To 5 AM Under GRAP — Know What's Open, What's Closed
The duration of the night curfew was also extended by an hour and would now begin from 10 pm and continue till 5 am.
