Civil Defamation Suit By Smriti Irani
Smriti Irani filed a civil defamation suit after the Congress leaders alleged that her 18-year-old daughter Zoish Irani ran a bar illegally in Goa and also targeted the minister over the same. The Congress demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi sack her from his Cabinet.
While the Union minister has dismissed claims of her daughter's association with the outlet, Congress leaders have continued to target her using screenshots of her old posts as well as Zoish Irani's interview.
