Ganesh Chaturthi as a festival is observed throughout India with people greeting each other. However, the grandest celebrations are witnessed in Maharashtra where people bring the idol of Ganesha at home and 10 days after the Chaturthi, carry out an impressive procession to submerge the idol in a nearby river or sea, as a mark of his departure to his parents in Mount Kailash. This year, of course, such celebrations will not be undertaken as large gatherings remain prohibited due to the Coronavirus situation, especially with Maharashtra being the worst-affected state by the pandemic for long. People are adviced to follow all the necessary precautions given to observe the festival this time.May Lord #Ganesha Gives us more power to fight against #COVID19 .
