'Exploits Of Corrupt BJP Govt': Priyanka On Delhi Police's Notice To Rahul Gandhi

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra stated that the people of the country are witnessing all the exploits of "the corrupt BJP administration" and will respond when the time comes.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, a Congress leader, slammed the Centre on Monday over the Delhi Police's notice to Rahul Gandhi, saying the people of the country are witnessing all the exploits of "the corrupt BJP government" and will respond when the time comes.

The attack happened after Rahul Gandhi was confronted on Sunday by a Delhi police squad who had been to his house to ask about his "women are still being sexually harassed" comments during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Taking to Twitter, Priyanka Gandhi said, “Notice is being given to Mr Rahul Gandhi as to why did you raise the voice of women, dalits, tribals, poor, farmers and youth who were suffering from atrocities?”

“PM’s friend Gautam Adani accused of having business relations with 38 shell companies abroad, no notice. Infiltration of fake company in defense sector through Adani, no notice. The government itself is accused of changing the rules to benefit Adani, not even discussed in the Parliament,” the Congress leader said.

In another tweet, Priyanka Gandhi blasted the Uttar Pradesh BJP administration for the suspected suicide of a girl student due to alleged eve teasing.

"In the media, advertisements say that ‘criminals are trembling’ in UP. But, in reality, everyday criminals commit crimes against women without fear and the women are not given a hearing in the government system,” she said.

The Congress has denounced the Delhi Police move after officers knocked on Gandhi's home for the third time in five days on Sunday, requesting information on the woman "victims" so that the police may investigate their case.

The opposition party blasted the central government, accusing it of harassment, intimidation and political retribution, but the BJP disputed the accusation and claimed the police was "just doing its legitimate duties".
