Earthquake Hits Jammu And Kashmir Again! 5th Jolt Since Yesterday; Check List Of Recent Tremors In India
This was the 5th jolt felt in Jammu and Kashmir since Monday morning
New Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir woke up on Tuesday morning with the tremors of the earthquake. There were two earthquakes, the first one was a mild tremor at 7 am while the second one was felt for a maximum of 10 seconds. The epicenter has been found in Tajikistan which felt an earthquake of a 6.8 Richter scale.
The epicenter of the earthquake is said to be 300km for Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. This was the 5th earthquake in Jammu and Kashmir since yesterday.
Several parts of India are experiencing mild to strong jolts of earthquakes in the past few months, especially northern India. According to reports, Jammu and Kashmir have experienced five earthquakes since Monday morning.
This is the list of recent earthquakes in India:
- Three mild earthquakes were felt on Monday in Jammu and Kashmir with a magnitude of 3.5 Richter Scale
- An Earthquake of 5.5 magnitude was felt in Gujarat on Sunday (14th June), no casualties were reported.
- On 10th June tremors of 4.3 magnitude event hit Diglipur in the Andaman and Nicobar islands at 2.17 am
- 3.9 magnitude quake hit 14 km north of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir at 8.16 am on 9th June.
- On 8 June, a low-intensity earthquake of magnitude 2.1 hit Delhi, according to NCS. The epicentre was around 13 km of the bordering Gurgaon and had a depth of 18 km, the data said.
- The national capital and its adjoining regions such as Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram have experienced a total of 13 jolts in the recent past.
