'Destroyed Fleet Of Well-Running Railways’: Kejriwal, RJD Corner Centre Over Condition Of Trains

Meanwhile, sharing images of overcrowded train coaches, RJD called them “torture centres” alleging the government that was doing nothing to improve the situation despite knowing everything.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday came down heavily at the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Centre over alleged deteriorating conditions of Indian Railways saying the government has destroyed the well-running fleet of trains. He also said that the condition of air conditioned and sleeper coaches were even worse than the general coaches. Lalu Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal also targeted the Centre over the condition of railway coaches calling them “torture centres”.

“They destroyed the fleet of the well-running railways. Today, even if you take an AC coach, you will not get a seat to sit or sleep. AC and sleeper coaches are worse than general.”

“They do not know how to run the government. They don't understand at all. Illiterate government. ruining every field,” he said.

In another tweet, Kejriwal made a veiled attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying, “The one who does not run the train, how will he run the country?”

Meanwhile, sharing images of overcrowded train coaches, RJD called it “torture centres”

“Rail coaches have been turned into 'torture centers' for the common man!” the party said.

“AC, Sleeper or General.. all have the same condition. People are forced to sit and travel despite having reservations,” it added, alleging the government that it was doing nothing to improve the situation despite knowing everything.

Hitting back at the AAP supremo, Delhi BJP said, “Rightly said Kejriwal, you do not know how to run the government. You just know how to lie, cheat, propagate and make allegations, otherwise Delhi would not have been in such a bad condition,” as per a Hindustan Times report.

Recently the Centre and railways minister Ashwini Vaishaw faced the music after over 280 people were killed in a triple train crash in Odisha’s Balasore district.
