Demonetisation anniversary: How social media erupted after PM Modi's announcement last year
Exactly one year has passed since Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced demonetisation of currency notes of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 denominations.
NEW DELHI: Taking the nation by surprise, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had on November last year announced demonetisation of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 notes with effect from midnight, making these notes invalid in a major assault on black money, fake currency and corruption.
